Insurance & Safety Policy
This Insurance & Safety Policy explains how Send Air Global approaches shipment protection, risk, and safety practices for items arranged for delivery from the USA to Bangladesh.
1. Overview
Send Air Global aims to coordinate delivery of your items from the USA to Bangladesh as safely and reliably as possible. This policy describes:
- How shipment insurance works
- What is and is not covered
- Our safety and handling standards
- Your responsibilities for proper packaging and declarations
This document should be read together with our Terms & Conditions and Prohibited & Restricted Items pages.
2. Definitions
- “Shipment” – One or more packages coordinated under a single reference, tracking number, or consolidation.
- “Declared Value” – The value of the goods as provided by you for insurance and customs purposes.
- “Standard Coverage” – Basic protection included by default for eligible shipments, subject to limitations.
- “Optional Insurance” – Additional paid insurance coverage, if offered and selected before dispatch.
- “Prohibited / Restricted Items” – Items that cannot be accepted or that require special approval in line with our policies and applicable regulations.
3. Standard Coverage
Every eligible shipment coordinated by Send Air Global includes limited standard coverage to help protect against loss or major physical damage during international transport.
- Standard coverage is not automatic full-value insurance.
- Coverage is capped at a maximum of [Insert Standard Coverage Limit, e.g., USD 100 per shipment], unless optional insurance is purchased and confirmed.
- Coverage applies only to approved items that comply with our Prohibited & Restricted Items policy.
- Packaging must meet our Packaging Instructions.
If your items exceed the standard coverage limit, we strongly recommend purchasing optional insurance (if available) or accepting the associated risk.
4. Optional Insurance
Depending on service level and destination, optional insurance may be offered for an additional fee.
- Optional insurance must be requested and confirmed before shipment dispatch.
- The insured value cannot exceed your provided invoices or proof of purchase.
- Certain items may be excluded or subject to special conditions even when optional insurance is purchased.
- Insurance fees are non-refundable once the shipment has been dispatched.

5. Safety & Handling Standards
Our processing locations and logistics partners follow standard industry practices designed to keep your items as safe as reasonably possible:
- Designated receiving and sorting areas for incoming items
- Basic visual inspection of external packaging
- Additional internal packaging for improved protection when appropriate
- Use of suitable cartons, tape, and cushioning materials where repackaging is agreed
- Secure storage areas before shipment dispatch
However, we do not open every product or perform detailed internal quality checks unless specifically requested and approved as a separate service, and such checks may not detect all defects, faults, or issues.
6. Packaging Responsibilities
Proper packaging is critical for insurance and safe transport. You are responsible for ensuring that items sent to us for processing are packed securely.
- Follow our Packaging Instructions for fragile, liquid, electronic, and high-value items.
- Use strong outer cartons, internal cushioning, and sealed bags for liquids.
- Avoid oversized cartons that increase volumetric weight and the risk of damage.
- Inform us in advance if any item requires special handling or orientation.
Claims may be rejected or reduced if damage is caused by insufficient, unsuitable, or improper packaging.
7. Exclusions & Limitations
Insurance and safety coverage do not apply in certain situations, including but not limited to:
- Shipments containing prohibited or undeclared restricted items
- Pre-existing damage before we receive the items for processing
- Minor cosmetic damage that does not affect functionality or use
- Damage due to manufacturer defects or normal wear and tear
- Loss or damage caused by incorrect address or failure to collect
- Loss, delay, or seizure by customs, authorities, or regulatory agencies
- Events beyond our control (force majeure), such as natural disasters or civil unrest
For a detailed list of items we cannot accept, see our Prohibited & Restricted Items policy.
8. Declared Value & Documentation
All insurance, whether standard or optional, is based on the declared value you provide.
- You must provide accurate invoice(s), order confirmations, or receipts.
- Under-declared values may limit the amount you can claim.
- Over-declared values without proof may lead to claim reduction or denial.
- Customs and duty assessments are separate from insurance valuation and are determined by authorities.
9. Reporting Damage or Loss

- Inspect the package at delivery and note any visible damage on the courier’s receipt (where possible).
